Accutron, developed in 1952, was the first big breakthrough in timekeeping technology in 300 years. The first fully electronic timepiece, Accutron promised to keep time to within 2 seconds a day. NASA used Accutron technology in space program computers.
To some watch purists, Accutron might not be a true brand name, but the Accutron can make a unique gift to last a very long time.

Accutron Product Line
The Accutron - Women’s Versailles Watch (model 27P02) comes with mother-of-pearl and enamel dial, set with 11 diamonds. With a sapphire crystal and stainless steel bracelet this watch is water resistant to 30 meters. The list price is $575.
Men’s Accutron Vera Cruz (model 28B54), with white patterned dial and sapphire crystal is water resistant to 30 meters. It comes in an 18-karat gold and stainless steel case and bracelet. List price $1095.
Women’s Accutron Vera Cruz (model 28B53), like the model above, comes in 18-karat gold with a stainless steel case and bracelet and is water resistant to 30 meters.
Men’s Accutron Barcelona (model 28B60) comes with a black enamel dial, sapphire crystal and deployment buckle. Water resistant to 30 meters, with a stainless steel case and bracelet, it lists for $550.
Other Accutron Series
Accutron comes in a wide variety of other series-the Alpine, Barcelona II, Bordeaux, Breckenridge, Brussels, Chamonix, Curacao, Gemini, Greenwich, Hyde Park, Lucerne, Mediterranean, Nantucket, Oxford, Palermo, Spaceview II, Tahoe, Torino, Tovoli, Val D’Isere and York.
Of all its series, though, the Spaceview is the most well-known and sought out. This was the first model of Accutron and is distinguishable by its see-through backing.
